We’re just back from the London Bike Show. A very big Thank You to everybody who visited us at SIC Speed Shop Live.

We met some super cool dudes who’d never heard of us before. They have now.

We had a great time catching up with lots of old cycling friends and with our very special customers, only some of whom we’ve previously had the pleasure of meeting in person. For others, we got to meet for the very first time, and we’re really happy that we did.

We even managed to hang out in the bar with some living legends from our favourite other 2-wheeled sport.

The show was hectic, stressful and a lot of fun.  This week we were mostly eating coffee and beer. Thanks to Erdinger Biers and London Bike Show’s very own Frazer for all the free pints. Without you guys we’d have been thirstier. We’d also still be much thinner.

We caught the impressive launch of Starley Primal race team, and are proud to have been one of the foundation stones on the long journey for James Smith that has made this team possible. Best of luck to the boys and girls for the season ahead.

It was great to catch up with George Pym and James Williams from last year’s Spin Rotor Primal road squad who’ve both made it onto the new team. George took many wins and a regional road championship title piloting his SIC Lightning X. He still reckons it’s the best handling bike he’s ever ridden.  If you see him out on the road or at this year’s prems or Tour Series, just ask him!

Up next: Spin London. March 28 – 30. It’s being held in an amazing old London brewery on Brick Lane. The SIC crew are wondering if there will be more beer?

We’re just back from one show and looking forward already to the next. Hope to see more of you there.
